ఎముక విరగ్గొడితే వాడి ఎముక విరగ్గొట్టాలి. కంటికి కన్ను, పంటికి పన్ను. ఒకడు వేరొకడికి గాయం చేస్తే వాడికి అదే చెయ్యాలి.

Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.
