ഒടിവിന്നു പകരം ഒടിവു, കണ്ണിന്നു പകരം കണ്ണു, പല്ലിന്നു പകരം പല്ലു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവൻ മറ്റേവന്നു കേടുവരുത്തിയതുപോലെ തന്നേ അവന്നും വരുത്തേണം.

Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.
