એ જ દિવસે તમારે પવિત્ર મેળાવડાનો ઢંઢેરો પીટવો. તે દિવસે કોઈ સાંસારિક કામ કરવાં નહિ, તમે ગમે ત્યાં રહેતા હોય છતાં તમારા વંશજોને માટે એ સદાનો વિધિ થાય.

And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
