För kroppens (varje varelses) liv (själ) är i blodet, och jag har gett er det för altaret, för att bringa försoning för era liv (själar). Det är blodet som bringar försoning genom livet (själen) som är i det.

For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
