อาโรนจึงกล่าวแก่โมเสสว่า “​ดู​​เถิด​ ​วันนี้​เขาได้ถวายเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาปและเครื่องเผาบูชาของเขาต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์​แล้ว​ และเหตุ​การณ์​​เหล่านี้​​ก็​ตกที่ข้าพเจ้าแล้ว ถ้าวันนี้ข้าพเจ้าได้รับประทานเครื่องบูชาไถ่​บาป​ จะเป็​นที​่โปรดปรานในสายพระเนตรของพระเยโฮวาห์​หรือ​”

And Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD; and such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the LORD?
