కానీ ఇప్పుడు చీకటి వారి ముఖాలను నల్లగా చేసేసింది. వాళ్ళు వీధుల్లో గుర్తు పట్టలేనట్టుగా ఉన్నారు. వాళ్ళ చర్మం వాళ్ళ ఎముకలకు అంటుకు పోయింది. అది ఎండిపోయిన చెక్కలా అయ్యింది!

Their visage is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets: their skin cleaveth to their bones; it is withered, it is become like a stick.
