​นัยน์​ตาของข้าพเจ้าก็ร่วงโรยเพราะร้องไห้ ​จิ​ตวิญญาณของข้าพเจ้าก็​ระทม​ เพราะความพินาศของธิดาแห่งชนชาติของข้าพเจ้า ตับของข้าพเจ้าเทออกบนพื้นดิน และเพราะเหล่าเด็กเล็กและเด็กที่ยั​งด​ูดนมนั้นเป็นลมสลบอยู่ตามถนนในกรุง

Mine eyes do fail with tears, my bowels are troubled, my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my people; because the children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city.
