വിലാപങ്ങൾ 2:3

തന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപത്തിൽ അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ കൊമ്പു ഒക്കെയും വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു; തന്റെ വലങ്കയ്യെ അവൻ ശത്രുവിൻ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നു പിൻവലിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; ചുറ്റും ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ജ്വാലപോലെ അവൻ യാക്കോബിനെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

He hath cut off in his fierce anger all the horn of Israel: he hath drawn back his right hand from before the enemy, and he burned against Jacob like a flaming fire, which devoureth round about.
