เมืองศิโยนได้​เหย​ียดมือทั้งสองออก ​แต่​​ก็​​ไม่มี​ใครที่เล้าโลมเธอได้ พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงมีพระบัญชาเรื่องยาโคบว่า ​ให้​พวกคู่​อริ​ล้อมยาโคบไว้ เยรูซาเล็มเป็นดั่งผู้หญิงเมื่​อม​ีประจำเดือนท่ามกลางเขาทั้งหลาย

Zion spreadeth forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her: the LORD hath commanded concerning Jacob, that his adversaries should be round about him: Jerusalem is as a menstruous woman among them.
