યરુશાલેમે ઘોર અપરાધ કર્યો છે; તેથી તે તિરસ્કારપાત્ર થઈ ગયું છે. જેઓ તેને માન આપતા હતા તેઓ હવે તેને તુચ્છ ગણે છે, કારણ કે તેઓએ નગ્નતા જેવી તેની અવસ્થા નિહાળી છે. તે પોતે મુખ સંતાડીને નિસાસા નાખ્યા કરે છે.

Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward.
