Josua 9:24

Och de svarade Josua och sa: ”Eftersom det med säkerhet blev berättat (hebr. nagad nagad) för dina tjänare hur Herren (Jahveh) din Gud (Elohim) befallde sin tjänare Mose att ge dig hela landet och utrota alla landets invånare framför er, därför var vi helt förskräckta (livrädda, panikslagna) för våra liv på grund av er och har gjort detta.

And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have done this thing.
