Josua 8:26

För Josua drog inte tillbaka sin hand med vilken han hade sträckt ut sabeln (kortare böjt svärd – hebr. kidon), förrän han fullständigt förgjort alla invånare i Ai. [Mose hade tidigare sträckt upp sina händer i bön, se 2 Mos 17:11.]

For Joshua drew not his hand back, wherewith he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.
