હવે આય અને બેથેલમાં ઇઝરાયલની પાછળ બહાર ગયો ન હોય એવો કોઈ પુરુષ રહ્યો ન હતો. નગરને નિરાશ્રિત મૂકીને તથા તેના દરવાજા ખુલ્લાં મૂકીને તેઓ ઇઝરાયલની પાછળ પડયા.

And there was not a man left in Ai or Beth-el, that went not out after Israel: and they left the city open, and pursued after Israel.
