యెహోషువ సున్నతి చేయించటానికి కారణం, ఐగుప్తులో నుండి బయలుదేరిన వారందరిలో యుద్ధసన్నద్ధులైన వారందరూ ఐగుప్తు మార్గంలో అరణ్యంలోనే చనిపోయారు.
