પછી યહોશુઆએ પોતે ચકમક પથ્થરની છરીઓ બનાવી. ઇઝરાયલના પુરુષોની સુન્નત કરી. જે જગ્યાએ સુન્નતનો વિધિ કરાઈ તેને ‘અગ્રચર્મની ટેકરી’ કહેવામાં આવી.
