யோசுவா 24:8

அதற்குப்பின்பு உங்களை யோர்தானுக்கு மறுபுறத்திலே குடியிருந்த எமோரியர்களின் தேசத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவந்தேன்; அவர்கள் உங்களோடு யுத்தம்செய்கிறபோது, அவர்களை உங்களுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தேன்; அவர்களுடைய தேசத்தை சுதந்தரித்துக்கொண்டீர்கள்; அவர்களை உங்களுக்கு முன்பாக அழித்துவிட்டேன்.

And I brought you into the land of the Amorites, which dwelt on the other side Jordan; and they fought with you: and I gave them into your hand, that ye might possess their land; and I destroyed them from before you.
