Tulang-tulang Yusuf, yang dibawa bangsa Israel keluar dari Mesir, dikuburkan di Sikem, tanah yang dibeli Yakub dengan harga seratus keping perak dari anak-anak Hemor. Hemor adalah ayah Sikem. Tanah ini menjadi warisan bagi keturunan Yusuf.
