Bangsa Israel menyembah TUHAN sepanjang hidup Yosua. Sesudah dia meninggal, mereka tetap menyembah TUHAN selama masih ada para tua-tua yang hidup lebih lama daripada Yosua, yaitu mereka yang sudah menyaksikan semua perbuatan TUHAN bagi bangsa Israel.
