Narinig ng bayan ng Israel ang tungkol dito at sinabi, “Tingnan mo! Nagtayo ng isang altar ang bayan ng Ruben, Gad at kalahating lipi ni Manases sa harap ng lupain ng Canaan, sa Gelilot, sa rehiyong malapit sa Jordan, sa tabi na pag-aari ng bayan ng Israel.”

¶ And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh have built an altar over against the land of Canaan, in the borders of Jordan, at the passage of the children of Israel.
