De Rubenieten, de Gadieten en de halve stam Manasse keerden terug en trokken heen van de Israëlieten uit Silo in het land Kanaän, om te gaan naar het land Gilead, het land hunner bezitting, dat zij zich verworven hadden volgens het bevel dat de Here door de dienst van Mozes had gegeven.
