રુબેનીઓ અને ગાદીઓએ તે વેદીનું નામ “એદ ” પાડયું, કેમ કે તેઓએ કહ્યું કે, “તે આપણી વચ્ચે સાક્ષીરૂપ છે કે યહોવાહ એ જ પ્રભુ છે.”
