โยชูวา 18:7

​แต่​​คนเลว​ี​ไม่มี​ส่วนแบ่งในหมู่พวกท่านทั้งหลาย ด้วยตำแหน่งปุโรหิตของพระเยโฮวาห์เป็นมรดกของเขาแล้ว คนกาด และคนรู​เบน​ กับตระกูลมนัสเสห์​ครึ​่งหนึ่​งก​็​ได้​รับมรดกของเขาทางฟากแม่น้ำจอร์แดนข้างโน้นด้านตะวันออก ซึ่งโมเสสผู้​รับใช้​ของพระเยโฮวาห์​ได้​​มอบให้​​แก่​เขาทั้งหลายแล้ว”

But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them.
