ต่อมาเมื่อคนอิสราเอลเข้มแข็งขึ้นแล้ว ​ก็ได้​​เกณฑ์​คนคานาอันให้ทำงานโยธา และมิ​ได้​​ขับไล่​​ให้​เขาออกไปเสียที​เดียว​
