કેવળ લેવીના કુળને મૂસાએ વારસો આપ્યો નહિ. જેમ યહોવાહ મૂસા ને કહ્યું હતું તેમ “ઇઝરાયલના પ્રભુ, યહોવાહને અપાયેલા અર્પણો જે અગ્નિથી કરવામાં આવે છે,” તે જ તેઓનો વારસો છે.

Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave none inheritance; the sacrifices of the LORD God of Israel made by fire are their inheritance, as he said unto them.
