till kanaanéerna i öster och väster [låglandet i öst och väst] och amoréerna [höglandet i syd] och hettiterna och perisséerna och jevusiterna i bergsbygden [runt Jerusalem (Jevos) som ännu inte var intagen] och hivéerna under [berget] Hermon i Mitspahs land [norra Israel; hebr. mitspah betyder vakttorn/utkik].

And to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the mountains, and to the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.
