Yeşu o gün Makkeda'yı aldı ve kralıyla birlikte onu kılıçtan geçirdi. Onu ve içinde bulunan bütün canları tamamen yok etti. Geride kimseyi bırakmadı. Yeriha Kralı'na yaptığını Makkeda Kralı'na da yaptı.
