Ibinigay ni Yahweh ang Lachish sa kamay ng Israel. Nasakop ni Josue ito ng ikalawang araw. Sinalakay niya gamit ang kaniyang espada bawat nabubuhay na nilalang na nasa loob nito, gaya ng ginawa niya sa Libna.
