యెహోషువా 10:28

ఆ రోజు యెహోషువ మక్కేదాను వశం చేసుకుని దాని రాజుతో సహా అందులోని వారందరినీ కత్తితో చంపేశాడు. అతడు దానిలో ఎవరినీ ప్రాణాలతో వదలకుండా నిర్మూలం చేసాడు. యెరికో రాజుకు చేసినట్టు మక్కేదా రాజుకూ చేశాడు.

¶ And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of Jericho.
