Således slog Josua hele Landet, Bjerglandet, Sydlandet, Lavlandet og Bjergskråningerne og alle Kongerne der uden at lade nogen undkomme, og på hver levende Sjæl lagde han Band, således som HERREN, Israels Gud, havde påbudt;
