ถึงกระนั้​นก​็​ดี​พวกลูกเรื​อก​็ช่วยกันตีกรรเชียงอย่างแข็งแรงเพื่อจะนำเรือกลับเข้าฝั่งแต่​ไม่ได้​ เพราะว่าทะเลยิ่งกำเริบมากขึ้นต้านเขาไว้

Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.
