ఊజు దేశంలో యోబు అనే ఒక మనిషి ఉండేవాడు. అతడు దేవునిపట్ల భయభక్తులు కలిగి, యథార్థమైన ప్రవర్తనతో న్యాయంగా జీవిస్తూ చెడును అసహ్యించుకునేవాడు.

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
