యోహాను రాసిన సువార్త 7:22

మోషే మీకు సున్నతి అనే ఆచారాన్ని నియమించాడు. ఈ ఆచారం మోషే వల్ల కలిగింది కాదు. ఇది పూర్వీకుల వల్ల కలిగింది. అయినా విశ్రాంతి దినాన మీరు సున్నతి కార్యక్రమం చేస్తున్నారు.

Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.
