Yesu aliposema haya alimaanisha Roho Mtakatifu ambaye wote waliomwamini wangempokea, kwani mpaka wakati huo, Roho alikuwa hajatolewa, kwa kuwa Yesu alikuwa bado hajatukuzwa.
