Basi ilikuwepo mitungi sita ya kuhifadhia maji iliyotengenezwa kwa mawe kwa ajili ya kujitakasa kwa desturi ya Kiyahudi; kila mtungi ungeweza kuchukua vipipa viwili au vitatu.
