యోహాను రాసిన సువార్త 21:23

దాంతో ఆ శిష్యుడు మరణించడు అనే మాట శిష్యుల్లో పాకి పోయింది. అయితే అతడు మరణించడు అని యేసు చెప్పలేదు గానీ నేను వచ్చే వరకూ అతడు ఉండడం నాకిష్టమైతే నీకేంటి, అని మాత్రమే అన్నాడు.

Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
