பேதுரு திரும்பிப்பார்த்து, இயேசுவிற்கு அன்பாக இருந்தவனும், இரவு உணவு சாப்பிடும்போது அவர் மார்பிலே சாய்ந்து: ஆண்டவரே, உம்மைக் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கிறவன் யார் என்று கேட்ட சீடன் பின்னால் வருகிறதைப் பார்த்தான்.

Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
