ヨハネの福音書 21:23

そこで、その弟子は死なないという話が兄弟たちの間に行き渡った。しかし、イエスはペテロに、その弟子が死なないと言われたのでなく、「わたしの来るまで彼が生きながらえるのをわたしが望むとしても、それがあなたに何のかかわりがありますか。」と言われたのである。

Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
