ત્યારે, જે શિષ્ય પર ઈસુ પ્રેમ રાખતા હતા, જમતી વેળાએ ઈસુની છાતીએ ટેકો દઈને બેઠો હતો અને પૂછ્યું હતું કે, ‘પ્રભુ જે તમને પરસ્વાધીન કરશે તે કોણ છે?’ ત્યારે પિતરે પાછળ આવતા તે શિષ્યને જોયો.

Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
