பின்பு, அவனை இயேசுவினிடத்தில் அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவந்தான். இயேசு அவனைப் பார்த்து: நீ யோனாவின் மகனாகிய சீமோன், நீ கேபா எனப்படுவாய் என்றார்; கேபா என்பதற்கு பேதுரு என்று அர்த்தம்.

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
