ครั้นพวกทหารตรึงพระเยซู​ไว้​​ที่​กางเขนแล้ว เขาทั้งหลายก็เอาฉลองพระองค์​แบ​่งออกเป็นสี่ส่วนให้ทหารทุกคนคนละส่​วน​ และเอาฉลองพระองค์ชั้นในด้วย ​ฉลองพระองค์​ชั้นในนั้นไม่​มี​​ตะเข็บ​ ทอตั้งแต่บนตลอดล่าง

¶ Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
