பிலாத்து இந்த வார்த்தையைக் கேட்டபொழுது, இயேசுவை வெளியே அழைத்துவந்து, தளமிடப்பட்ட மேடையென்றும், எபிரெய மொழியிலே கபத்தா என்றும் சொல்லப்பட்ட இடத்திலே, நீதியிருக்கை மீது உட்கார்ந்தான்.

¶ When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.
