Ekkor azt mondták egymásnak: „Ezt ne hasítsuk el, hanem vessünk sorsot rá, kié legyen.“ Hogy beteljesedjen az Írás, amely ezt mondja: „Megosztoztak ruháimon, és a köntösömre sorsot vetettek.“ A vitézek tehát ezeket tették.
