Silloin ilmaantui paikalle myös Nikodeemus, joka aikoinaan oli tullut yöllä Jeesuksen luo. Hänellä oli mukanaan kolmisenkymmentä kiloa voidetta, joka oli valmistettu mirhasta ja aloesta.
