Judas fick tag i (tog med sig) en romersk bataljon [kohort – som bestod av omkring 600 romerska soldater, se Apg 10] och tempeltjänare [judiska män tjänstgjorde som ordningsvakter i templet] från översteprästerna och fariséerna. De kom dit med facklor, lyktor och vapen.
