De förde sedan Jesus från Kaifas till romerska guvernörens palats (pretoriet). Det var tidigt (mellan klockan tre och sex) på morgonen. Själva gick de inte in i palatset, för att de inte skulle bli [ceremoniellt] orena, utan kunna äta påskmåltiden.
