యోహాను రాసిన సువార్త 17:14

వారికి నీ వాక్కు ఇచ్చాను. నేను ఈ లోకానికి చెందినవాణ్ణి కానట్టే, వారు కూడా ఈ లోకానికి చెందినవారు కాదు కాబట్టి ఈ లోకం వారిని ద్వేషించింది.

I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
