యోహాను రాసిన సువార్త 15:2

నాలో ఫలించని ప్రతి కొమ్మనూ ఆయన తీసేస్తాడు. పళ్ళు కాసే ప్రతి కొమ్మ ఇంకా ఎక్కువ పళ్ళు కాసేలా దాన్ని కత్తిరించి సరిచేస్తాడు.

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
