യോഹന്നാൻ 12:40

“അവർ കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു കാണുകയോ ഹൃദയംകൊണ്ടു ഗ്രഹിക്കയോ മനം തിരികയോ താൻ അവരെ സൗഖ്യമാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ കണ്ണു അവൻ കുരുടാക്കി ഹൃദയം തടിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു”

He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
