મરણ આપણી બારીઓમાંથી આવ્યું છે; તે આપણા મહેલોમાં પેઠું છે. કેમ કે આપણાં બાળકોનો નાશ થયો છે અને તરુણો જાહેર ચોકમાં રહ્યા નથી.

For death is come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets.
