అయినా వారు నా మాట వినలేదు, పెడచెవిని పెట్టారు. తలబిరుసు తనంతో తమ మనస్సు కఠినం చేసుకున్నారు. వారు తమ పూర్వీకుల కంటే మరీ దుర్మార్గులయ్యారు.

Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.
